Testimony of the new Director of Development and Office Manager
My name is Ésaïe Milfort and I am the new Director of Development and Office Manager of ETEQ. I joined the team on July 4, 2017. Since my arrival I have been briefed by Kristen Corrigan, the Executive Director of ETEQ in order to understand the main challenges of my new position. The challenges are many, but, “with God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies”. Psalm 60:12 (NIV).
New at ETEQ
We are happy to announce that there have been a number of stimulating changes at ETEQ this summer. The new structure of ETEQ allows us to improve the service provided to students and to increase our income.
Briefly, here are the changes:
A word from our Academic Dean - Why is an Evangelical School of Theology (ETEQ) important?
Because the church needs ETEQ!
The church’s mission is to train a nation of disciples (learners) who not only publicly declare their faith in Christ by being baptised, but who are also equipped to understand and observe the teachings of Jesus and can apply them in 2017. None of this is easy. It wasn’t easy during the era of the first disciples and it isn’t today. We, the church, need to work at it intentionally and thoughtfully. We need to study and re-examine what it means in 2017 to “follow Me”.
A word from our President - Seeking Wisdom
One day, and we pray soon, there will be a Jesus-following church within the reach of every francophone, whether in Quebec, Haiti, Congo, Ivory Coast or anywhere French is spoken.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Prov 4:7, NKJV
Interview with a graduate student - Jean-Daniel Veer
I received the Cardinal Maurice-Roy scholarship for the master’s programme. I am 26 and have been married to Sarah Jessica for a year and a half. For the past three years we have attended La Chapelle Church and have been active there. Before entering the master’s programme, I studied at the University of Montreal, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
