Testimony of the new Director of Development and Office Manager

My name is Ésaïe Milfort and I am the new Director of Development and Office Manager of ETEQ. I joined the team on July 4, 2017. Since my arrival I have been briefed by Kristen Corrigan, the Executive Director of ETEQ in order to understand the main challenges of my new position. The challenges are many, but, “with God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies”. Psalm 60:12 (NIV).

I immigrated to Quebec in 2009 with my wife (Ismane Jean-Louis) and my two children, Rusley Steaven (10 years) and Rose-Ismaélie (4 years). I hold two master’s degrees from the National Academy for Public Administration (l’école nationale d’administration publique, ÉNAP) in Montreal, Quebec; one in Public Administration and the other in Program Evaluation with a BA in Economics from the State University of Haiti. I am a committed Christian leader. Since March 2015, I have leadership responsibilities at l’Église des Adorateurs Chrétiens Baptiste in Montreal. Given my pastoral ministry, I am currently working toward a Master’s of Divinity.

As a new employee at ETEQ, I am so happy to work in an environment that promotes God’s kingdom, and gives theological training to Evangelical leaders from Montreal and the French-speaking world. My interest in the school is not only professional but spiritual. It is in my prayers. As Office Manager, I am responsible for team work and for fostering relations with the student body. My tasks are geared towards the constant development of the school. As Director of Development, I will endeavour to contact numerous foundations and to forge strong ties with friends of the school who already support it and who desire to continue to do so. My work will take into consideration the context and environment of the school, building on the solid achievements of the recent years. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to serve Him in a Christian environment that reflects my values and my faith.
